Tip of the Week- Fit and Fabulous

It’s sad to say, but a common misconception of me is that some people, who don’t know my lifestyle, tell me “You’re so lucky you’re skinny!” Or “You’re so lucky you can eat whatever you want!” Let me just say first off, I hate the word skinny, as well as the word fat. And my response is always the same, “It takes hard work, dedication, eating healthy and working out. And trust me, I’m not skinny, I’m FIT and FABULOUS!”


Yes, I do have an athletic frame with lean muscle, but I maintain it. I eat small portions every couple of hours. I eat very healthy, but I do indulge when I want to. I don’t punish myself, because I take good care of myself. I don’t normally eat a lot of sugar and I refuse to add sugar in anything (I guess you can say I am lucky to not have much of a sweet tooth). My snacks are usually veggies, fruits, Greek yogurt, nuts, granola or protein bars. I drink a lot of water and 1-3 cups of tea per day (and absolutely NO SODA) and I generally stay away from fast food and processed food. I love to cook (meal prep is SO important) and I stay active and workout, even with my busy schedule. Staying FIT and FABULOUS does not need to be impossible! Just start incorporating into your daily lives: eating healthier, better food choices and more often, as well as being active and working out- one step at a time. Remember you are not alone. It is so important to love your body, so don’t let the words of others or any negativity or any discouragement bring you down! Health and beauty start from the inside! And always remember- You are FIT AND FABULOUS!
