Maxidresses

How to wear a maxidress 101! Never wear a maxidress that is too loose or unshapely. You will just end up looking like your wearing your grandmother’s nightgown or a moo-moo. Try adding a belt if this is the case! Maxidresses with seams under the bust or an empire waist looks best! Never wear a maxidress that is too short (higher than the ankle) or too long (your stepping on or tripping over it). Save the big bold prints and patterns for the minidresses! Maxidresses look best in solids, stripes, floral prints, and/or little printed details/graphics!

Natalia Kills

Natalia Kills is a new up and coming British electro pop singer with a fresh new style! She is becoming one of my personal faves and is definitely on my playlist for this summer! She’s fun, funky and even a little raunchy with a dark side, which makes her all the more fabulous! She is just breaking out now with her fresh tunes and unique fashion sense. Just like Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj, Natalia Kills has her own intake on fashion and sexy style!

Fashion is Freedom!

Growing up, and even to this day, I was always seen as the ‘outcast’ or the ‘black sheep’ because of my outlandishly funky fashion, by my friends and family members. That never stopped me from being who I am. No one ever seemed to realize or understand who exactly I am. They questioned me and doubted me in all aspects in my life, especially fashion. They would say things like “what are you wearing!?” or “why do you dress like that!?” and the reason why I do is because it’s ME. Im Just Jenn! Your style reflects who you are as a person and your personality. Why not show who you are to the world! Don’t let anyone or anything get or let you down! You are who you are and don’t ever change because you are afraid of what people may think. Remember FASHION IS FREEDOM! Don’t ever forget that!

Timeless Looks

There are timeless looks that will never go out of style! Here are a few that everyone should have! Men: Black suit, black dress shoes, black tie (skinny/regular), white button down shirt, black belt. Women: Little black dress, diamonds, pearls, black pumps/heels, everyday cardigan, cute clutch, red lipstick.

Hot Mess

Ladies and gents, there are some looks that should never, ever, be done and can look, well, like a hot mess! Some of many looks never to do include a meat dress and exposed colorful underarm and genital hair (sorry Gaga!). Super short shorts for both men and women and excessive skin exposure is also a big no no. Multi colored suits and uni-printed outfits can look a bit tacky as well. It is always great to look like a bronzed goddess/god, but whoever said the faker the orange tan, the better, was wrong! Also, on a personal note, flip flops for everyday use can look tacky too. Try substituting gladiators, flats, and even boat shoes!

Optical Illusion

No one is perfect in the least so we should expect to have areas on us that we want to ‘play up’ to add a little more umph to our self esteem!   Here are some simple, yet easy to remember, fashion tips that anyone can try! For women with: Short legs- Try wearing a pair of short shorts (no, not booty shorts) and a pair of heels or wedges to add length! You can also try a pair of high waisted skinny jeans with a cute tank tucked in! Long legs- Can’t find a decent pair of jeans that don’t look like high waters? Try unstitching the hem and ironing it flat before you wash! That should add a good ½ inch-inch of length! Also try a pair of flats and/or gladiators if the pant leg a little on the shorter side. Bigger bust- Want to cover up without losing your full figure? Try pulling on a jacket for extra coverage in the bust area. You can also draw attention to your lower body by wearing a skirt with volume as well as bottoms with patterns. Smaller bust- Try a top with volume such as ruffles or

Nautical Wear

The nautical trend is sailing its way into summer! The nautical look is all about the traditional red, white and blue sailor garb, with a modern twist. While styling horizontal stripes and plaid designs, boat shoes and hemp espadrilles, ships, knots, bows, and anchors, this trend is sure to make waves this season!

Tip of the Week

Ladies, a great way to find out what color works best for your skin color is as easy as applying eye shadow! By experimenting with eye shadow colors you are able to see which colors work best with your skin tone as well as which colors you should absolutely avoid! Dark skin works great with bright and vibrant colors. Try to avoid browns. Brown skin also looks great with bright and sunny colors. If you have red under tones avoid shades of red. Olive skin color with under tones of yellow look great with any bright or neutral color. Just avoid pale yellow. Light skin works great with pale, pastel colors. Avoid very bright colors and shades of beige.

Women: Jeans, cute top and layered necklaces. Pants, cami and a jacket. Dress, belt and a cardigan. Skirt, button down shirt and scarf. (Also try to mix in hats, long boots, vests, and loads of accessories!) Men: Jeans, Polo and a cardigan. Pants, button down shirt and a tie. Jeans, undershirt and a button down shirt. Clothing Care

Working in fashion, I have a lot of clients ask me about care for their clothing. I want to give you a couple simple tips on how to care for your clothing! If you are afraid your clothing will shrink in the wash, wash with COLD water and either shake and air dry (hang) or wash with cold water and dry on LOW heat! Need your clothes to shrink just a tad? Wash in warm water then dry on low heat.   Stained your clothing? Oxi Clean spray is a great solution to lift stains right up from clothing and even your house wear (bed sheets, couches, chairs… etc.)! Don’t have oxi clean around the house? No problem! By rinsing the stained area in hot water (which open up the fibers in the fabric) simply dab on a light colored hand soap/bar soap and rub it in. Rinse with hot water and if the stain is still present, on white clothing only, you can either dab on a peroxide/water or bleach/water mix and rinse. Before throwing your clothes into the wash, get the area wet with hot water once again and rub i

Fab hair tips

Summer is not the time to let your hair go (actually, it is never OK to let your hair go)! So here are a couple quick tips to keep your head on straight and your hair looking fab. Don’t have dry shampoo for quick fixes: Easy! You can you use baby powder or flour to soak up extra oil. Just sprinkle it on or use a makeup brush over the roots for oil control. Need to trim up the bangs: Pinking shears (used for fabric) is a great tool to use for a thinning effect to create a smoother, softer bang. Hair is built up with products: Using Palmolive dish soap does the trick! Washing your hair with Palmolive will allow you to get a deeper clean that kicks build up to the curb. Followed by your regular conditioner, your hair will look and feel as good as new! Get rid of green hair: Summer is the best time to have pool parties but the chlorine in the water can discolor your locks and even turn them green! By washing your hair with a can of vegetable or tomato juice you are able to cancel the green
