  Giving gratitude and being grateful in not a one-time, one-day a year thing. Being grateful is an everyday of every year kind of commitment. Here are a few simple ways you can start showing more gratitude in your everyday life- Start a gratitude journal. Yes, I know I say this  all   the time, but it really works! Buy a nice journal and begin writing! I like to write 1 thing that I am grateful for first thing in the morning, right after I wake up, along with 1 thing that happened that day, that I am grateful for, before bed.  Plant a tree or flowers Tell your friends, family, and loved ones how grateful you are to have them in your life and why you are grateful for them Give back to your community: Give your time or donate money, canned food, or previously used items to those in need Go for a walk outside and be mindful. The Raw Truth About Spiritual Journeys

Let's face it... going through a Spiritual Journey is not all rainbows, unicorns, and kittens. It's raw, It's messy, and it sometimes feels like a rollercoaster   of emotions.  Sometimes we need to claw our way out just to make it to the other side. Sometimes we feel like a beast not knowing if we are going to make it out alive. Now I'm all for positive energy and good vibes but I'm also real. What is Samhain?

Samhain , or more commonly known as  Halloween,  is a Harvest festival celebrating the end of a harvest season, and the beginning of winter. It is primarily used to honor our ancestors since the veil between the spirit world and our world is at its thinnest, at this time. People even try to make contact with their ancestors using divination or you may receive messages through your dreams, song lyrics, repeating numbers or a phrase that someone says. This is also the time of rebirth, transformation, and spiritual growth.  Other names include- Halloween, All Hallows' Eve, or All Saints' Eve Ancestor Altar Many people create an altar to honor their ancestors. The 5 Love Languages and Self Love

The book and theory are extremely  helpful with any type of relationship, even platonic or work relationships (within reason), but have you ever thought about how the 5 Love Languages can be used to promote more self love and self care and build a better relationship with ourselves? For example, my top love languages are: Physical Touch Quality Time Acts of Service How can I use these for self love?  Physical Touch- I can treat myself to an acupuncture session or massage, or even administer self massage or put on my lotion with loving intention and positive affirmations Spending quality time with myself like going for a walk, spending time out in nature or reading a book Acts of service like cooking myself a nice dinner We don't need other people to show us that we are loved!
