Protein is the best way to keep lean. By eating a protein packed breakfast, such as eggs, fresh fruit, oatmeal, yogurt and granola, etc… as well as protein packed snacks, it will help keep you fuller longer and with more energy!

By taking a minimum of 10,000 steps per day (which averages out to about 4 to 5 miles) it will help burn up stored fat and burn more calories! *Pedometers can help you stay on track with each step!

Liquid calories are a silent pound packer. Get rid of soda and sugary drinks.

By drinking up to two glasses of water before you eat will help you fill up faster so you won’t eat as much!

Sleep is essential for a healthy and functioning immune system. Lack of sleep can cause you to overeat and gain more weight, due to the decreasing of the hunger hormone that allows you to feel full.

By drinking plain green tea (no sugar) it gives the body a metabolism boost as well as an increase of energy!

Eating soup is the best low fat meal that helps you intake the fewest calories. Warning: some soups pack on the sodium and salt which can cause the body to retain more fluids giving you the bloated effect. Search for something with low sodium!

The number one tip for any age is to just stay active! With a healthy mix of aerobic training (strengthens cardiovascular system) such as running, jogging, walking, swimming, dancing… etc and resistance training (strengthens muscle and bones) such as lifting weights, pushing and pulling, your body will be happy and healthy!
